I rode the NYC from Greensburg to Chigago and back
at the ripe old age of 4 yrs old. I still remember it. My dad had a friend that was a conductor on the NYC.

I rode the same Big 4/ NYC line from Cincinnati to Batesville in 2004, Cincinnati
to Batavia 2005, and Nov 2008, I connected the dots from Batesville to Greensburg.
(Cinn Railway, below) Add 50 miles
That completes riding the line, as shown below.
It took 53 years, but....

This is an ex NYC and Penn Central line, operating as a tourist train now. Lots
of specials on the website. Ride along the original canal from Lawrenceburg to Hagerstown, Indiana. The canal is restored
in Metamora, with an operating gristmill and lots of shops!
I have rode this train, with steam and deisel engines, five times since 1985.
The last was a western shootout on the train, and at the station on arrival back in Connersville!
